Are You Using The Chinese Gender Chart To Determine The Sex Of Your Baby?

Many people in this day and age have decided that they want to choose the sex of their baby preconception. In order to do this they are resorting to all kinds of measures including the Chinese Gender Chart. The Chinese Gender Chart was reportedly dug up out of a royal tomb recently. This Chinese Gender Chart was hidden in the tomb for some 700 years and is supposed to detail the month that a woman should shoot for when determining the sex of the baby, dependant on the age of the mother.

The authentic version of the Chinese Gender Chart is allegedly currently in the Institute of Science in Beijing. Reports are that using the Chinese Gender Chart has a 90% success rate in determining the sex of your baby. However, and this is where it gets tricky, you need to use the actual lunar cycles of the chinese for accurate determinations along with the lunar age of the woman trying for conception.

Most sites that actually post this Chinese Gender Chart have a disclaimer that the chart is for amusement purposes only. So why would anyone actually try to use this means for determining the sex of their baby? Desperate times call for desperate measures is the most common answer to this question and I am left shaking my head as to why it is so important to choose the sex of the baby in the first place.

Personally, I do not agree with trying to conceive a certain sex of baby. I feel that if you are lucky enough to have a child you should feel blessed. But, if you are dead set on choosing the sex of your baby preconception, there may be choices for you to consider. Unfortunately the mother's DNA has little to nothing to do with the gender of conception, the male sperm is what chooses the gender. However, there are ways to influence which sperm actually impregnates the egg. Male sperms cells die off in under three days normally, where as the female inducing sperm can live for six days.

So, if you are set to ovulate on a certain date, you may want to consider the “sperm deposit” 3-4 days prior to ovulation if you are shooting for a little girl. If you want to conceive a boy, you should plan for a date close to the date of ovulation. There are also many clinical studies as to the influence that your ph levels has on determining the sex of your baby. Some women choose to use baking soda douches to raise their alkilinity level in hopes of influencing the gender of the baby.

I prefer to leave gender selection in the hand of God, and give thanks for the miracle of birth. But, I realize that for those who want to choose the gender of their baby, their desire is very real and am not putting them down for it. Or I would not have written this hub about it, the point is that there are methods out there that can influence the sex of your baby, but it is up to you to go through the trial and error and hopefully be happy with what you receive for your efforts.
