Hi outdoorguy38. Great hub. I look forward to booking a cruise in the near future and would do so online if there were positive reviews of the experience available on site. I know, there could be 3 great reviews with a hundred bad experiences deleted or not shown, but for some reason, those positive ones would instill trust. Generally I believe, we get out of our experiences the attitude we put into them. When living in Hawaii I could tell where people were visiting from and often they'd bring their home town expectations with them (i.e. New York hustle bustle) which created some disappointment for them.
Saving hundreds would be great :) Do you offer any cruises to the Greek isles?
Hi SEM Pro, thanks for visiting another hub ;) I have not added a review section as of yet, since I am still building enough traffic to warrant the affiliate that I want to do the online bookings. So let me ask you this...if there are 5 negative comments and 25 positive comments...what would you be more apt to believe?
I do believe that booking online is the best way to go, but its certainly necessary to shop around and make sure that not only are you getting the best deal pricewise, but more importantly customer service!
And I totally agree with you on expectations, some people may have extremely high expectations while others just want to get away from it all. There are some ships that are very busy, in fact they leave from NY and pretty much fit the whole rat race lifestyle, so someone wanting just a layed back time might not enjoy such a vacation.
There are several options for mediterranean cruises offered by Princess and most have very favorable feedback. However, many of these trips are longer than say an Alaskan cruise, so I would encourage you to be sure you enjoy being on a ship before booking a long cruise :)
I have been to Hawaii and I have been on a cruise but never a cruise to Hawaii. Sounds like a whole lot of fun and sun!
Leaving in three day on the Golden Princess cruise out of Long Beach . 14 days to the island. This will be our first. Can anyone give me some tips on this boat.
That is great Lisa! Please post again when you get back and tell me how it went, along with any tips you may pick up on the cruise. It is a little late for the tips I would suggest which deal with finding out about each port of call and the Princess tour offered at each. Many times you can save lots of money by doing your research and planning your own tour rather than the sometimes exhorbitant prices for Princess tours.
